Paper Tiger
Paper Tiger is the Edinburgh destination for exciting, innovative and distinctive cards. We are dedicated to creating collections of cards which inspire and excite. Cards are used to express personal sentiments and our cards aim to be as distinctive and individual as the people who give them. Along side cards, we have a fantastic range of beautiful wrapping papers, books and small gifts. We are also very excited about our growing collection of things for making your own cards. What we do is very varied but at our core is a commitment to offering our customers interesting and well designed cards.
History
Paper Tiger was founded in the early 1980s as part of the Studio One group of companies. As well as Studio One, we also have our Studio One Furniture sister stores in Morningside. Paper Tiger trades from its stores in Stafford Street and Lothian Road it is the perfect place to find a special card and stylish gift-wrap. The three businesses continue to be run as a family of shops.
Who We Are
John Johnson is the founder and Chairman and still sets the creative direction for all our stores. Daniel Johnson is the Creative Director and has been working in the business since 2008 with responsibility for buying and commercial strategy. Michael Apter is the Operations Director for Paper Tiger and Studio One. David Horn is the Studio One Furniture Director.
